The Department of Economics and Finance at HSUHK held the “HSUHK Inter-University FinTech Innovation Competition 2025 – FinTech Applications in the Greater Bay Area” event on 30 May 2025. The Competition fostered innovation among students from HSUHK, Hong Kong Baptist University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Education University of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong Shue Yan University, giving them an opportunity to showcase transformative FinTech solutions for the Greater Bay Area’s cross-border financial landscape.

Six final teams presented their innovative ideas to a distinguished panel of judges, and “Group EdUHK X PolyU” were awarded Champions for their innovative platform, “Finder”. “Finder” addresses adults’ financial pain points across GBA borders by integrating personalised financial tools, gamified challenges, and a social matching system that connects users based on financial goals.
