Virtual Reality Centre celebrates 10th anniversary

The Virtual Reality Centre at HSUHK held a Virtual Reality (VR) Talk titled “Unleash the Potential in VR Metaverse: Trends, Applications and Outlook” on 11 September 2025 to celebrate the Centre’s 10th anniversary alongside HSUHK’s 45th anniversary. The event featured distinguished guest speakers including Dr Leith Chan, Founder and Director of Votanic Limited; Mr Steven Cheng, Co-Founder of Inspekly and Chief Operating Officer of Visionaries 777; and Mr Ray Mok, 3D Animation Director at VX Real, who shared compelling insights on the potential of VR.

Dr Chan showcased VR’s transformative power across industries, seamlessly integrating research and practical applications to highlight its vast potential. Mr Cheng also shared valuable perspectives on how Extended Reality technologies are revolutionising retail, marketing and training, enhancing customer engagement and operational efficiency. Mr Ray Mok introduced the innovative “O2O VR Metaverse Music Concert” concept, demonstrating the creative fusion of entertainment and technology in immersive virtual environments.
