Three student projects from BA (Hons) in Cultural and Creative Industries programme of HSUHK have been selected to display at the “Hong Kong International Licensing Show – Hong Kong Licensing Force Showcase”.
Among the projects, “Herbal Tea Guardian” is a board game designed to promote the intangible cultural heritage of herbal tea. It enables players to discover herbal tea ingredients and their health benefits while fostering appreciation and public interest for this tradition. “Sky High Stacking” creates a three-dimensional environment where planes can soar freely in a spatial realm, allowing players to imagine how to control their aircraft. “House of Sai Wan”, a mini installation art piece, showcases community spirit, shared values, and metaphors that intertwine the author’s personal experiences with collective social memories.
Mr Raistlin Lau, Under Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of the HKSAR and officiating guest of the opening ceremony of the Show, visited HSUHK’s exhibition area and explored the “Herbal Tea Guardian” card game, which uniquely blends intangible cultural heritage with gaming innovation.
Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Hong Kong International Licensing Show and the Asian Licensing Conference took place from 28 to 30 April 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event featured over 600 participating brands and intellectual properties, spanning diverse domains such as art and culture, animation and entertainment, brand extension, and fashion. It highlighted a dynamic mix of international brands and local creativity.
