3 October 2025

In the 2024-25 academic year, five Year-1 students from HSUHK have been selected for the fifth cohort of the prestigious AIA Scholarships in recognition of their outstanding academic performance and strong commitment to community service.

The awardees are: Cheung Ka-hei (BSc in Actuarial Studies and Insurance), Ng Ka-ho (BA in Psychology), Tam Mei-yan (BBA in Professional Accountancy), Tsang Tsz-wa (Bachelor of Journalism and Communication) and Kristy Yau (BBA in Economics). Two HSUHK graduates from the second cohort of the AIA Scholarships, Chan Cheuk-nam and Leung Tsoi-wing, also attended the award ceremony to express their heartfelt gratitude to AIA Foundation for the support they received during their studies at HSUHK.

Launched in October 2020 with a US$100 million pledge by AIA, the AIA Scholarships programme supports 100 undergraduates across Hong Kong universities each year over the next several decades by providing HK$50,000 annually throughout the recipient’s undergraduate studies. Recipients are selected based on their academic excellence, commitment to community service, and financial need.
