To celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival this year, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) invited renowned local craftsman Mr Au Yeung Ping-chi to teach students the intricate craft of creating traditional Mid-Autumn Festival lanterns.
In this engaging hands-on workshop, students learned lantern-making techniques while exploring the history and cultural significance of this cherished art form, immersing themselves in Hong Kong’s traditional craftsmanship. Committed to preserving local heritage, HSUHK seeks to deepen students’ appreciation for Hong Kong’s cultural traditions and enrich their experience through such meaningful activities.
