Professor Jan Fuh-Jyh, President of National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) in Taiwan, led a delegation to visit The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) recently to explore potential collaboration opportunities between the two universities.
The delegation was warmly received by Professor Simon S M Ho, President of HSUHK, Professor Jeanne Fu, Acting Vice-President (Learning and Student Experience), and Dr James Chang and Dr Sammy Hu of the School of Communication.
After a warm welcome and introduction of HSUHK by President Ho, both parties engaged in active discussions on potential collaboration opportunities. A Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities will be signed to facilitate academic and student exchanges. President Ho expressed that his last visit to NCHU about 10 years ago has led to good connections with the institution. President Jan said NCHU would encourage more students to study or exchange at HSUHK.
The visit was concluded with a campus tour led by President Ho and other HSUHK representatives to the facilities in the Lee Quo Wei Academic Building, the School of Communication’s TV Production Centre, the Central Plaza and the Wei Lun Square. The delegation had a glimpse of the campus life and cutting-edge teaching facilities at HSUHK. The visit has laid the foundation for more future collaborative initiatives, which will help foster a rich and diverse academic environment for both universities.
