At the start of the academic year, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) has organised a range of activities today, including student performances, fun booths and photo-taking corners, to promote a vibrant campus atmosphere. HSUHK’s management team, including Professor Simon Ho, President; Professor Jeanne Fu, Vice-President (Learning and Student Experience); Dr Josiah Chan, Vice-President (Organisational Development); Dr John Leung, Associate Vice-President (Knowledge Exchange); and Dr Cheung Pui-sze, Director of Student Affairs, delighted fellow staff members and students with Hong Kong-style snacks. This academic year, HSUHK welcomes some 2,200 undergraduate freshmen and over 760 new postgraduate students.
In his welcome video, President Ho encouraged students to engage in various experiential learning activities, including overseas exchanges, internships, service-learning opportunities, leadership trainings, University sports teams and music groups, among others. He urged students to keep an open mind and commit to continuous learning, emphasising that every interaction is a chance to explore their potential, develop their capabilities and nurture their passions —all of which contribute to discovering the value of life.
