11 July 2025
The Start-up and SME Resource Centre at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) hosted a launching ceremony for the “Outstanding SME ESG and Business Performance Award 2025” on 11 July 2025.
In his speech, President Simon Ho stated that corporations, as well as small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have been facing many challenges in recent years, mainly due to the slow economic recovery since the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as global politics. Additionally, companies including SMEs, have the social responsibility to enhance the quality of their ESG initiatives, not only for sustainability, but to meet high ESG expectations from various stakeholders.
The Award Presentation Ceremony will be held on 21 November 2025. The project for this year’s award is supported by the Riskory Consultancy Limited, a technical advisor; as well as supporting organisations, including the Occupational Safety & Health Council; the Business Environment Council; the Equal Opportunities Commission; the Hong Kong Red Cross; the Hong Kong Business Ethics Development Centre; the Hong Kong Small and Medium Enterprises Association; The Hong Kong Registered Contractors Association; the SME Sustainability Society; The Hong Kong General Chamber of Small and Medium Business; the Hong Kong General Chamber of Social Enterprises; the SME Global Alliance; and the Chief Happiness Officer Association.
