The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) held the Inclusion Festival on 27 and 28 February to promote multicultural inclusion and foster understanding and acceptance for individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and as well as individuals with special learning needs.
The Festival featured captivating performances from dance groups from BEYOND Bollywood that highlighted diverse cultural arts including an Indian classical dance and belly dancing. Ethnic minorities representatives from the dance groups also shared their cultural backgrounds and personal experiences of moving to Hong Kong.
There were also a range of interactive game booths, multicultural food stalls, charity sales, and hands-on workshops at the Festival, such as guide dog introductions, temporary Indian henna tattoos, as well as a Japanese amule workshop, and more, to encourage learning, respect and understanding of different cultures and needs of different individuals. The Festival also underscored HSUHK’s commitment to promoting cultural diversity and social inclusion.
