The Global Affairs Office at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) organised a local guided tour for exchange students to visit the Former Fanling Magistracy and Mil Mill —the only paper beverage carton recycling plant in Hong Kong.
At the Former Fanling Magistracy, a Grade 3 historic building, students learned about its architecture, history, and conservation efforts. This helped them better understand Hong Kong’s culture and connect with the local community. Students also used recyclable materials collected by Mil Mill to create paper aroma stones, turning waste into reusable items and supporting sustainable development.
This semester, HSUHK is hosting 50 exchange students from countries around the globe, including Belgium, France, Finland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and more.
