The Graduate School (GS) and Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at HSUHK have launched a seminar series titled “Bridging Experience and Education: Effective Strategies for Teaching Mature Students” on 2 April 2025. The inaugural seminar in the series was delivered by Professor David Tse, Chair Professor from the Department of Marketing on “Three Things to Do to Excel in Graduate Programmes: Meticulous Preparation, Finding Yourself, and Avoiding Bad Habits”.
During the seminar, Professor Tse highlighted the importance of meticulous preparation for effective teaching in graduate programmes. He also shared insights from his personal teaching journey, practical cases and experiences to demonstrate success in teaching mature students. Professor Tse also shed light on the common bad habits that educators may unconsciously develop, offering practical advice on recognising and avoiding undesirable teaching behaviours.
