14 February 2025
The Genrotech Carnival, organised by the Graduate School at HSUHK, the Institute of Policy Studies of Lingnan University, and the Faculty of Social Sciences at UOW College Hong Kong (UOWCHK), kicked off at UOWCHK on 14 February 2025. The Carnival attracted over 200 participants, including seniors, caregivers, university students, and community members, all eager to explore the endless possibilities of gerontechnology. Through a vibrant mix of interactive activities, the Carnival offered a unique blend of wisdom, innovation, and joy, ensuring members of society that aging can be both fun and fulfilling.
Exploring the different themes around the concept of gerontechnology, such as health, nutrition, housing, transportation, mobility, exercise and lifelong learning, the Carnival enhanced public awareness of aging-friendly technologies and promoted the development of smart and age-inclusive cities.
