The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) officially launched the “GBA Youth Start-up and Social Innovation Programme” on 24 February 2026. The launch ceremony brought together over 100 participants, including government representatives, university leaders, industry experts, and academic partners, marking the official start of a three-year incubation journey for 13 selected teams.

Professor Jeanne Fu, Vice-President (Learning and Student Experience) and Director of CIE, encouraged students and alumni to fully leverage the programme’s mentorship, cross-sector networks, and disciplined approach of testing and iteration to transform ideas into scalable impact across the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

The event featured the ceremonial activation of the “CIE・GBA” launch device, followed by an engaging Start-up Forum titled “Creators・Innovators・Changemakers”. Speakers and attendees discussed actionable steps from initial vision through validation to sustainable, measurable outcomes.
