HSUHK’s “Eco-Pledge Campaign” has won the 2025 CASE Best of Asia-Pacific Region Award from the Council for Advancement and Support Education (CASE). HSUHK is the only local private university among CASE member institutions to receive this honour this year. The judges praised the Campaign’s creative design and unique activities, which successfully unites donors, students, staff and alumni.
Launched in 2014 to support the University’s sustainable development, the “Eco-Pledge Campaign” raises funds for campus enhancements while promoting environmental education. Marking the Campaign’s 10th anniversary in June 2024, President Simon Ho dressed in gardening gear and was joined by Dr Roy Chung, Founder of the Bright Future Charitable Foundation and Member of the HSUK-Foundation Management Committee, and Dr Jacky Cheung, Council Member and alumnus. Together, they led donors, alumni, staff and students in a series of gardening activities aimed at greening the campus and fostering a stronger sense of belonging among all participants through hands-on planting.
Building on its success in 2022 with the “FunD Virtual Run” which won a Silver Award (Special Events/Online Fundraisers) at the global level and the Best of Asia-Pacific Award in CASE’s Circle of Excellence Awards, HSUHK has once again gained international recognition. This latest achievement underscores the widespread appreciation of the University’s innovative initiatives.
