HSUHK’s Creative Humanities Hub has been awarded the BEAM Plus New Building (Version 2.0) Final Platinum Certification by the Hong Kong Green Building Council, the highest rating recognising sustainable construction. This recognition also highlights the University’s outstanding commitment to green architecture and environmental responsibility. The commemorative plaque was officially displayed on campus in late January 2026.
Opened in March 2024, the Creative Humanities Hub integrates advanced energy-efficient systems, eco-friendly building materials, Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology, along with solar photovoltaic panels, and other sustainable features, embodying the principles of green architecture. During its construction, strict measures were applied to minimise environmental and ecological impact. These efforts resulted in outstanding performance throughout the BEAM Plus New Building (Version 2.0) final assessment, securing the highest Platinum rating.
