HSUHK’s Cloud Innovation School (CIS) recently joined forces with Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB); China Merchants Financial Holdings; the Institute of Web3.0 Hong Kong; HKU Business School; the Hong Kong Digital Asset Society; and HashKey Group, to launch the Digital Asset Alliance. A launch and signing ceremony for a cooperation memorandum was held on 9 April 2025.
The alliance aims to create a more prosperous digital economy for Hong Kong by promoting the development of Hong Kong’s digital economy, facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing among various sectors in the field of digital assets, proposing policy initiatives to the Government of the HKSAR, and assisting in the joint development of the industry.
Dr Daniel Mo, Head of CIS, remarked “CIS at HSUHK will continue to organise specialised seminars, surveys, and relevant courses in cloud computing and artificial intelligence to cultivate talents equipped with cloud AI technology, interdisciplinary thinking, and an understanding of market regulations, thereby meeting the opportunities and challenges of the digital industry”.
