The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) celebrated the 10th anniversary of CTL and the HSUHK Teaching Excellence Awards on 11 June 2025.
At the ceremony, President Simon Ho stated “Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our state-of-the-art facilities that foster creativity and engagement. Our dedicated and passionate teachers continually develop innovative and effective teaching methods to help students discover their interests and unleash their potential”, and expressed his gratitude to Teaching Excellence Awards recipients for their contributions.
Professor Jeanne Fu, Vice-President (Learning and Student Experience), highlighted the University’s commitment to embracing new and emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, to enhance personalised learning and meet the diverse needs of 21st century learners. Dr Ben Cheng, Director of CTL, emphasised that innovation and transformation highlight the Centre’s teaching and learning experiences for the entire HSUHK community through innovative pedagogy and transformative education.
Three 2023-24 Teaching Excellence Award recipients, Dr Christine Choy, Assistant Professor at the Department of Art and Design; Mr Ricky Lam, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Accountancy; and Mr Harry Lee, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Supply Chain and Information Management, shared their experience in the section titled “Integrating Technology for Transformative Learning Experiences”.

This year, over 20% of HSUHK’s full-time academic staff were recognised.
