A team comprising of Year 2 student from the BBA (Hons) in Financial Analysis and FinTech programme, Reeze Anne Mendoza Ramiro; a representative from the FinTech team at the Department of Economics and Finance at HSUHK Ms Florence Li; and a student from the University of Hong Kong, triumphed at the Cyberport University Partnership Programme 2025, a flagship initiative aiming to nurture Hong Kong’s next generation of tech entrepreneurs.

The HSUHK team presented their “Crux ESG by CoreFlow” project, an innovative Regulatory Technology solution that leverages artificial intelligence to automate and streamline sustainability regulatory reporting for businesses. Led by Dr Andy Cheng, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics and Finance, the team was shortlisted among the top 20 teams from across Hong Kong, which earned them a place at a 10-day entrepreneurship boot camp at Draper University in the Silicon Valley in California, USA. They finished among the top five teams at the “Boot Camp Mock Pitching Competition” and won the “Most Collaborative Team Award”.

The project was ultimately awarded the Championship prize with HK$100,000 in seed funding from the Cyberport Creative Micro Fund for prototype development. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the University’s leadership in promoting cutting-edge FinTech education and the successful development of new initiatives in this critical field.
