Student team triumphs at Inter-University FinTech Innovation Competition

The Centre for Global Finance and FinTech and the Department of Economics and Finance at HSUHK hosted the 3rd Inter-University FinTech Innovation Competition on 29 May 2026.

The grand finale featured compelling pitches from six shortlisted teams under the theme “Tokenisation and Digital Assets Revolution”. After intense competition, the HSUHK team was crowned Overall Champion with their innovative blockchain platform project that tokenises distressed real estate properties. The winner team comprises Li Yu-tong (BBA (Hons) in Economics, Year 2), Mohit Silpakar (BBA (Hons) in Finance and Banking, Year 3) and Rebecca Amatya (BA (Hons) in English, Year 2).
