HSUHK engages leading Singapore institutions to foster future research partnerships

24 March 2026

Professor Joshua Mok, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research) and his research team completed a research visit to Singapore from 21 to 24 March 2026. During the visit, they shared preliminary findings from their Public Policy Research Funding Scheme (PPRFS) project and conducted a series of academic exchanges with Singapore’s leading institutions.

The team engaged with scholars and policy practitioners from the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, the National Institute of Education, Singapore Management University, and the Singapore University of Social Sciences. These meetings fostered discussions on comparative international higher education policy, facilitated the exchange of methodological insights, and examined how regional contexts influence higher education and social policy development in Asia.

During the seminar hosted by the Singapore University of Social Sciences, Professor Mok presented preliminary findings from his ongoing PPRFS project, titled “Questing for International Higher Education Hub in Asia: The Hong Kong Experience from Comparative Perspectives”.
