HSUHK continues to excel in international and regional university rankings. In the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, HSUHK ranks 157th among universities in the Greater China region and 253rd among the 718 ranked institutions in East Asia, reflecting an advancement of more than 40 places in its overall Asia standing compared with the 2025 rankings.

Professor Joshua Mok, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research), described the achievement as affirmation of the University’s dedicated efforts to nurture students with global perspectives and professional competencies. “The significant leaps in internationalisation and research impact demonstrate that HSUHK’s strategic approach is producing tangible results on a regional platform,” he noted. “As a young university, we are proud of our meaningful contributions to society and the world.”

Released on 4 November 2025, the rankings by QS Quacquarelli Symonds evaluated over 1,500 institutions across 25 Asian education systems. HSUHK surpassed the regional median in several critical indicators, including citations per paper (Scopus-based), international student ratio, inbound and outbound exchange student ratio, and overall research strength. These results highlight the University’s rising prominence in research excellence and international engagement.
