Department of Accountancy launches 2025-26 Mentorship Programme

3 October 2025

The Department of Accountancy held the Mentor-Mentee pairing event for the 2025-26 Mentorship Programme on 3 October 2025. The event welcomed nine business leaders from the accounting and related professional fields to serve as mentors, with 27 student-mentees participating.

Professor Phyllis Mo, Head of the Department of Accountancy, expressed her gratitude to the mentors for generously dedicating their time and expertise to guiding the students. During the event, mentors and mentees were grouped for interactive discussions, allowing them to better understand one another.

The Accountancy Mentorship Programme is a unique initiative designed to connect students with distinguished business leaders in the industry. It aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world experience. Through personalised guidance from experienced mentors, students can develop essential career skills, expand their professional networks, and explore diverse career opportunities.
