Under the Institute of Knowledge Exchange (IKE) of HSUHK, the Future Intelligence-related Skills and Training (FIRST) Hub and the Greater Bay Area Medical Professional Development Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Hong Kong Mental Wellness Association, Hong Kong College of Health Service Executives, Hong Kong Health Care Federation, Hong Kong Psychological Society, and Hong Kong Institute of Christian Counselors on 1 May 2025, to jointly promote health education in the community.
Dr Ko Wing-man, a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and a Non-Official Member of the Executive Council of the HKSAR, emphasising the significance of promoting health education in the community to identify mental health risks and empower teachers and social workers in their efforts to support youth mental health. Dr May Lam, a specialist in Psychiatry, shared insights into the current landscape and future challenges of emotional health in Hong Kong. HSUHK President Simon Ho encouraged the public to be the CEO of their own health, advocating proactive health management.
