Professor Joshua Mok, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research) and Dean of the Graduate School at HSUHK, was invited by Tsinghua University to chair a keynote session at the Tsinghua Higher Education Forum in Beijing in August 2024. The Tsinghua Forum attracted over 400 international speakers and participants. Leading scholars who are conducting research on artificial intelligence (AI) and higher education were invited to engage in critical reflections on how AI has affected higher education from international and comparative perspectives.
Before joining the Forum, Professor Mok gave a talk at a Roundtable on “International Education: Critical Reflections” organised by the Institute of Higher Education, Beijing Institute of Technology. While in Beijing, Professor Mok explored inter-university collaborations with Tsinghua University, Beihan University and the Beijing Institute of Technology. The Institute of Education of Tsinghua University has agreed to co-organise the Conference of Higher Education Research with the Graduate School (GS) of HSUHK in 2025. Meanwhile, the Institute of Higher Education of Beihan University will co-organise an international conference with GS in November 2024 in Beijing.
