This module teaches students how to use computers effectively in the translation of business writings. Students have hands-on experience in using the state-of-the-art computer/ computer-aided systems to do their translations.

Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

1. demonstrate some knowledge and skills in using computer (-aided) translation systems;
   
   


2. evaluate different translation systems by the essential knowledge;
   
   


3. apply their knowledge to the translation of business documents;
   
   


4. understand the problems relating to computer translation of commercial texts and their corresponding solution; and
   
   


5. acquire additional knowledge in computing.
