Sanchez is an independent Producer Artist, Records Producer and Keyboardist born and raised in Hong Kong, specialized in R&B jazz & alternative funk and acoustic ballad-pop. He released his latest bilingual Cantopop/hiphop single [HUG] in 2021 and prepare his first EP [SOULO] production recently.

Sanchez Lam learned classical piano from the age of 6, and self-learnt music composition from 13. In August 2013, Sanchez performed live and released his experimental digital piano album “Impromptu Opus”. Sanchez has collaborated with over 30+ artists and singers including Jay Fung, Winka Chan @ Collor, Monkey, Claudia Koh, Ezen To, Jarryd Tam, Kitson Ng, Sharon Chan & Manting Chan etc.

In 2012, Sanchez became the 1st young Chinese producer to collaborate with the renowned London philharmonic group “Wired Strings”, and the international cellist/conductor Rosie Danvers to co-produce “Clover”- a song by his artist Dickson Chan. Rosie wrote in website: “The song, titled “Clover” and written by Sanchez Lam, was reminiscent of the Beatles with a modern twist.”

His film scoring & sound designs work “Eternal Sunshine” was selected to be included in the “Short Film Corner” Premiere of Cannes Court Métrage - Festival de Cannes 2013. Sanchez’s another work “Blind Sight”, was shortlisted the finalist with the “King-Bonn Award” of “The 4th China International New Media Short Film Festival” in China, Best Animation (GOLD) & Best Screenplay of HKICT Awards 2015,  Asia Pacific “Creative Award” finalist of the “TBS 15th DigiCon6 Awards” of Japan, and Screening Featurette of Fantastic Film (Korea) 2015 and Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival (France) 2015.

In 2018, Sanchez was commissioned on the film scoring for the TV drama “Kendo Girl” for young director Yuen Chun Tak. Sanchez later released the show’s Japanese single “Together We’re Happy”. In another Yuen’s film “The Delivery”, Sanchez compiled the film scoring & sound designs and was the 5.1 surround mixing supervisor. “The Delivery” later received the prize “Most Popular Short Film of the Year” awarded by the Hong Kong Film Directors’ Guild “Master Class” 2018.

In the finale of “CUHK 50th Anniversary performance: The Magical Mall” in 2014, Sanchez was the instrumental producer and renderer. In 2016, Sanchez was assigned as the soundtrack producer for the publicity short film for the “Schools Creative Music Showcase” organized jointly by Education Bureau and the “Hong Kong Composer’s Guild. In 2017, in the new book “The Coloured Happiness of The Aurora” by the traveller-songwriter Anson Pierre “The Rain”, Sanchez was the piano soloist and the producer of the entire music album, together with the piano score book arrangement of “The Songs of Northern Lights”.

Besides producing and creating pop music, Sanchez has started lecturing the subject “Digital Recording” in Convergent Media & Communication Technology (CMCT) at the School of Communication in the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong since 2018. Sanchez was invited to host seminars of “introduction to Cantopop & Music Publishing” at the Hong Kong Baptist University in 2017.
