PROGRAMME OVERVIEW 課程概覽

The BBA (Hons) in Professional Accountancy aims to prepare students to pursue accountancy as a
profession. The Programme equips students with theoretical accounting knowledge and practical
application skills. The curriculum encompasses a wide range of subject areas including financial
reporting, management accounting, financial management, auditing, taxation, law, accounting
information system and ethics. Our graduates receive the maximum number of exemptions from
various professional examinations. Our teachers coach students in professional competitions,
creating a unique learning experience and benefiting students in the long run.

Graduates are open to ample opportunities to become professional accountants, business
leaders and entrepreneurs and are highly recognised by employers. Most of our graduates work
in accounting firms and financial institutions, join management trainee programmes or pursue
studies in graduate schools.
本課程旨在為學生從事會計專業作出準備，會計理論和實務知識兼備，涵蓋廣泛的專科領域，包括財
務匯報?管理會計?財務管理?審計?稅務?法律?會計信息系統和道德。畢業生可獲得本地及國際
性專業會計團體專業資格考試的最高級別豁免，與香港其他大學的會計系畢業生相等。我們的老師悉
心指導學生參加各項專業比賽，創造獨特的學習體驗。

畢業生發展機會良多，深受顧主認同。畢業生可成為專業會計師，商業領袖和企業家。大部分剛畢業

Furthermore, students can participate in the HSUHK Global Internship programme with internship locations
covering 25 cities in 18 countries, including Australia, Germany, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore,
the UK and the USA. Students will work as interns in public organisations and multinational corporations
such as Bank of China (Sydney, Tokyo and Frankfurt Branches), KPMG (Singapore), Pacific BMW (Los
Angeles), Hong Kong Trade Development Council (Tokyo and Osaka), Hong Kong Economic and Trade
Office (Singapore and Tokyo), etc.
此外，學生可以參加恒大的全球實習計劃，實習地點覆蓋18個國家遍及25個城市，包括澳洲，德國，愛爾蘭，日

EXCHANGE PROGRAMME 交流計劃

HSUHK has established exchange partnership agreement with over 40 overseas institutions across Asia,
Europe and North America. Students are encouraged to apply for outbound exchange to these overseas
partnering institutions to broaden their horizons.

EY Young Tax Professional of the Year 2019
2019 安永年度國際稅務菁英大賽
Six students were shortlisted as finalists of the EY Young Tax Professional of the Year 2019 competition, representing 20% of the total number of finalists selected from all Hong Kong universities.
六名同學進入2019安永年度國際稅務菁英大賽的入圍名單，佔全港大學入圍者總數的 20%。

HKICS Corporate Governance Paper Competition 2018
香港特許秘書公會企業管治論文比賽 2018
Our Year 2 students won the Championship in Corporate Governance Paper Competition organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries in 2018. Our students also won the second runner-up in 2017.
本系同學榮獲香港特許秘書公會企業管治論文比賽2018冠軍，亦於2017年的比賽中獲得季軍。

TIHK Tax Debate Competition 2019
香港稅務學會全港大專學生稅務辯論比賽 2019
In 2019, our students won the Champion as well as the Best Team Spirit Award in the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK) Tax Debate Competition. Our teams also won the Champion and the Best Debater Award in 2017, the first runner-up in 2016 and 2018 and the Best Team Spirit Award in 2018.
本系同學於2019香港稅務學會全港大專學生稅務辯論比賽勇奪冠軍及最佳團隊精神獎。本系同學亦於2017年的比賽中獲得冠軍及最佳辯論員獎，2018年的比賽中獲得亞軍及 最佳團隊精神獎，及於 2016 年獲得亞軍。

Our students won the Research Excellence Award in ACCA Hong Kong Business Competition 2017. Our students also won the second runner-up in 2016 and the first runner-up in 2015.

HSUHK is the first self-financed degree-granting institution in Hong Kong to adopt a full residential college approach. The newly established Residential Colleges provide 1,200 places for students to benefit from the dynamic and inspiring hall life education programmes. HSUHK offers a wide range of scholarships and awards to reward and recognise high calibre students with outstanding performances in both academic and non-academic aspects, as well as supporting students to broaden their exposure to multicultural environment. How does a degree in professional accountancy differ from other degrees?

BBA-PA nutures students to become professional accountants. Like those in other professions such as medicine or architecture, accountants must pass rigorous professional examinations, abide by ethical standards and
gain enough practical experience to become qualified. The profession has a clear career path with attractive remuneration.
BBA-PA 培育學生成為專業會計師。與其他的專業領域例如醫療或建築一樣，會計師必須通過嚴格的考試，遵守道德標準並獲得足夠的實踐經驗，才能取得專業資格。會計專業有清晰明確的事業發展路徑，每次晉升都有可觀的薪酬增長。
