|年級:||3 - 4|
|先修單元:||BUS1002/MGT1002 Principles of Management or with the Instructor’s permission and upon endorsement of the relevant Head and Programme Director.|
In addition to learning essential management theories, this module uses an applied approach to developing and practicing students' management and interpersonal skills. Being involved in the learning experience and connecting theories to their own lives, students can learn how to build productive relationships and master soft skills necessary for personal and organisational effectiveness, such as self-management, team building, and problem solving. This module's practical yet research-based style is designed to help students achieve the success they desire. Specifically, the ideas, tools, and techniques help enhance students' effectiveness (ability to achieve results), career potential (e.g., marketability, salaries, promotions, job satisfaction, and job choice), and general well-being (e.g., happiness, health, work-life "balance").
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
- review and learn basic management theories;
- help students connect management theories to their own lives;
- develop students' soft skills for practical use; and
- sharpen the tools and techniques to help students enhance work effectiveness, career potential, and general well-being.
