Through this collaboration, both parties aim to nurture a new generation of talent equipped with professional knowledge, practical experience and innovative thinking, thereby contributing to the long-term sustainable development of Hong Kong\u2019s insurance industry.<\/p><p>The collaboration will benefit students enrolled in the Master of Science in Insurance Programme (MSc-INS) offered by the School of Decision Sciences at HSUHK. By strengthening ties between academia and industry, both parties will provide students with opportunities to gain deeper insights into the insurance and financial services sectors while enhancing their professional competencies, practical skills and career readiness.<\/p><p>HSUHK and Sun Life will collaborate in the following four key areas of talent development:Scholarship programme: Sun Life will establish an annual scholarship programme to recognise outstanding MSc-INS students for their academic excellence and all-round performance. The scholarships will be available to students admitted from the 2026-27 academic year, with up to 10 outstanding students receiving awards each year.<\/p><ul><li><p>Internship opportunities: Sun Life will offer internship placements across its financial advisory operations and corporate functions, enabling students to apply their classroom learning in the real-world settings and gain first-hand exposure to insurance business operations, emerging industry trends and future market developments.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Student project competition: Students will be invited to participate in an annual project competition organised by Sun Life, where they will propose innovative solutions to real-world challenges in the insurance and financial services sectors. The competition will encourage students to apply their creativity and analytical skills to address evolving industry needs, with cash prizes awarded to outstanding participants.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Corporate visits and industry exchanges: Students will have the opportunity to participate in corporate visits to gain first-hand insights into Sun Life\u2019s day-to-day operations. They will also engage with industry leaders and experienced professionals, broadening their horizons and gaining a deeper understanding of the diverse career opportunities available in the insurance sector.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>Professor Simon Ho, President of HSUHK, said, \u201cHSUHK has always kept pace with the evolving needs of society and industry by equipping students with professional knowledge, practical skills and future-ready competencies through quality education and experiential learning opportunities. This collaboration with Sun Life marks another milestone in strengthening partnerships between academia and industry. Interested students can submit their applications through
