The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) will organise the \u201cHSUHK Summer Academy 2026\u201d from 29 to 30 July 2026\u00a0for Secondary 4 to Secondary 6 students. Under the theme\u00a0\u201cSocial Innovation: Ideas into Impact\u201d, the event will bring together different Schools and Departments\u00a0to offer simulated classes, interactive games and workshops, allowing secondary school students to explore their interests and talents while experiencing the diverse university\u00a0life.<\/p>

The event spans\u00a0a wide range of popular fields, including artificial intelligence (AI), psychology, translation and personal growth. Interesting topics include the Department of Social Science\u2019s\u00a0\u201cPsychology of Emoji\u201d<\/b>\u00a0which examines\u00a0the meanings and use\u00a0of emojis from a psychological perspective, highlighting the underlying dynamics of\u00a0online communication. The School of Translation and Foreign Languages\u00a0presents \u201cIntroduction to Card Game Translation: Starting with Pok\u00e9mon<\/b>\u201d,\u00a0which uses card game as a starting point to introduce AI-assisted translation,\u00a0game localisation and computer-aided translation. The\u00a0Department of Computer Science\u00a0offers \u201cInside AI: A Hands-On Discovery Workshop<\/b>\u201d, where participants will learn about the development of AI models, from data collection to training, as well as the fundamentals of AI learning and development. In addition, the Honours Academy will organise the \u201cInvest in Yourself, Enhance Your Future, Create Impact: Honours Academy Student Leadership Experience Workshop<\/b>\u201d. Through interactive challenges, the workshop will guide students in self-development planning, cultivating financial literacy, and recognising common scams and fraud schemes, while helping them integrate\u00a0personal aspirations\u00a0with community needs and transform\u00a0social innovation ideas into practical and feasible solutions.<\/p>

The HSUHK Summer Academy 2026 is free of charge and is now open for registration, with a deadline of 29 May. Interested Secondary 4 to Secondary 6 students may complete the online registration form without school nomination. Places are\u00a0limited, and priority will be given to local Secondary 5 students.<\/p>
