The Institute of Knowledge Exchange (IKE) at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) hosted a symposium titled \u201cIntegrating Culture, Sports, and Tourism: Unleashing Possibilities\u201d on 3 October in collaboration with the Tourism, Heritage & Sports Education Hub; the Greater Bay Area Medical Professional Development Association; Asia Academy for Sports and Fitness Professionals; and Ko Live Media.<\/p>

Distinguished speakers from the culture, sports, and tourism sectors included Mr Ivan Wong, Chief Executive of Ocean Park; Mr Ip Ka-po, Director of Creation TV; and Mr Heung Pak-wing, IFMA International Gold Champion, who shared invaluable insights into their respective fields. Their presentations deeply resonated with attendees, and sparked meaningful discussions on the vital role of culture, sports and tourism in Hong Kong\u2019s economy and society.<\/p>

Professor Simon Ho, President of HSUHK, emphasised that culture, sports and tourism are integral to daily life, enriching humanistic values and aligning with liberal arts education. Dr John Leung, Associate Vice-President (Knowledge Exchange) and Director of IKE, highlighted the interconnected nature of the culture, sports, and tourism sectors, noting their complementary roles in generating significant societal and economic benefits. Professor Gavin Chau, Associate Director (Academic and China Liaison) of IKE, said, \u201cIn order to support government\u2019s policies on culture, sports and tourism, HSUHK plans to offer courses that will nurture more talent for the advancement of Hong Kong\u2019s culture, sports and tourism industries.\u201d<\/p>
