The awards recognise higher education institutions that have created and implemented innovative approaches to teaching and learning. From over 1,300 submissions across 18 categories, these three projects ranked in the top 25% during the first round of evaluations and were showcased at the QS Reimagine Education Conference in London in December 2024.<\/p><p>The shortlisted projects from HSUHK are the Game-Based Learning and Generative AI: Transforming Education Across Disciplines at HSUHK, led by Dr George Ho and Mr Kelvin Wan from the Centre of Teaching and Learning (CTL); \u00a0the Metaverse4ALL: Problem-based Collaborative Learning via Metaverse for Higher Education Disciplines, led by Dr Eugene Wong from CTL; the Pre-Teens Financial Literacy Workshop Series, led by Dr Holly Chung from the Honours Academy. The projects have been shortlisted for the Best Use of Generative AI Award, the Immersive Experiential Learning Award, and the Developing Emerging Skills and Competencies Award respectively.<\/p><p>The \u201cGame-Based Learning and Generative AI: Transforming Education Across Disciplines\u201d engaged over 600 students in designing educational games using AI to enhance storytelling and game mechanics. The \u201cMetaverse4ALL: Problem-based Collaborative Learning via Metaverse for Higher Education Discipline\u201d has benefited over 1,500 students by using a real-time collaborative VR CAVE system to enhance learning experiences.
