The \u201cLiberal Arts@HSUHK Chinese Culture Promotion Programme\u201d, organised by the Department of Chinese, held two events recently to promote Chinese culture on campus.<\/p>

Dr Chui Pui-chee, renowned Hong Kong ink artist, was invited to conduct an \u201cInk Painting Workshop\u201d on 17 October 2024. \u00a0During the workshop, Dr Chui explained the basic techniques of ink painting and demonstrated how to depict subjects such as bamboo, orchids, shrimp, and crabs.<\/p>

Another event, \u201cMusic in Martial Arts Community: Martial Arts and Chinese Medicine\u201d was held on 18 October 2024. Dr Chris Chan, a practitioner of Chinese medicine, was invited to explain the relationship between martial arts and theories of Chinese medicine. Hong Kong\u2019s renowned Chinese ensemble group, The Windpipe Music Ensemble, played several pieces including some TV show themes based on martial art novels.<\/p>
