As a co-organiser, HSUHK achieved outstanding results at the Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP). Two student teams were shortlisted among the top 20 and one of them was shortlisted among the top 10 teams with a grant of HK$100,000 in funding.<\/p>

The teams were Earnet and Webminds. Webminds consisted of four students from the Department of Economics and Finance and one from the Department of Supply Chain and Information Management led by Dr Andy Cheng, Associate Head and Associate Professor at the Department of Economics and Finance, and Dr Jason Liao, Associate Professor (Practice). Their project focused on \u201cTourist Home Sharing\u201d. The students focused on researching home exchange on Web 3.0 to solve accommodation issues in the travel industry.<\/p>

Earnet, co-led by Dr Fanny Chan, Head and Associate Professor at the Department of Marketing, consisted of Year 4 BBA in Marketing student, Jeffrey Wong, and a master\u2019s degree student from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Their project was centred around a Web3 Freelancer Platform that bridged the gap between freelancers from emerging markets and businesses in developed economies. Earnet enabled freelancers from developing countries to offer their skills and services for firms in developed countries, promoting global collaboration and economic opportunities.<\/p>

Both shortlisted teams participated in workshops and the Web 3.0 Entrepreneurship Boot Camp at Draper University in the USA. With their performance, Earnet was awarded a grant of HK$100,000 from the Cyberport Creative Micro Fund.<\/p>
