HSUHK forged a strategic partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Beijing International Studies University (BISU) on 9 May 2024 in Beijing. Building upon the MoU and student exchange agreement signed in 2022 between HSUHK\u2019s School of Translation and Foreign Languages (STFL) and BISU\u2019s School of Interpreting and Translation, School of English Language Literature and Culture, School of European Languages, and School of Asian Studies, the collaboration between HSUHK and BISU has now reached new heights with the establishment of a comprehensive university-level MoU.<\/p>

The HSUHK delegation to Beijing, led by Professor Hui Yer-van, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research); Professor Gilbert Fong, Dean of STFL; and Dr Thomas Man, Associate Dean (Enterprise and Business Engagement) of the School of Business, was warmly welcomed by BISU\u2019s senior management team led by Professor Cheng Wei, Vice President; Professor Zheng Chengjun, Vice President (Academic, International); and Professor Li Zhen, Deputy Chairperson of the University Council.<\/p>

As HSUHK\u2019s STFL is a member of the Translators Association of China (TAC), to further capitalise on the opportunity, Professor Gilbert Fong also strengthened ties with the TAC by visiting TAC and the China Foreign Languages Publishing and Distribution Development Ministry Bureau.<\/p>
