<\/p>

On 16 September 2023<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>the Honours Academy (HA) <\/span>hosted a <\/span>community-service event in collaboration with The Boys\u2019 and Girls\u2019 Clubs Association of Hong Kong\u2019s Community Creativity Learning Centre (BGCA CCLC). The event, titled \u201cBe Smart \u2013 Pre-teens Financial Literacy Workshop 2023\u201d<\/span>,<\/span> aimed to empower approximately 20 school students, ranging from Primary 5 to Form 1, with essential financial literacy skills through a combination of interactive board games and engaging mini lectures. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

A team of 20 HA students<\/span> crafted<\/span> a unique board game<\/span> with<\/span> props and visuals, revolving around various financial decisions one <\/span>face<\/span>s<\/span> in<\/span> their educational and early-career journeys. From colourful game pieces, to vibrant illustrations and informative cards, every aspect of the board game was thoughtfully designed to bring the game to life. From budgeting for school expenses, to making strategic choices about higher education and career empowerment options, the whole workshop provided<\/span> students with<\/span> an understanding of <\/span>the <\/span>financial responsibilities and opportunities that lie ahead<\/span> in their futures<\/span>. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The HA\u2019s collaboration with the BGCA CCLC since 2022 has further strengthened <\/span>relationships<\/span> between the organisations<\/span>,<\/span> and the HA is <\/span>looks <\/span>forward to cooperating with different schools and units in our community<\/span> to further support the <\/span>development of impactful community initiatives aimed at promoting different <\/span>topics <\/span>that <\/span>contribut<\/span>e<\/span> to the well-being <\/span>of Hong Kong\u2019s youth. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
