On 8 December 2016, the Department of English hosted their 18th Departmental Seminar presented by Dr Dan Lu. The seminar lasted an hour and a half with time for a Question & Answer Session.<\/p>\n

Dr Dan Lu<\/strong> is a retired teacher from the Language Centre, Hong Kong Baptist University. In the seminar, he\u00a0discussed the relationship between ESP and English for general purposes (EGP), the basic principles of ESP, and the processes of implementing ESP which includes ESP course design,pedagogical arrangements, assessment and the some challenging and controversial issues in this most prominent area of English language teaching today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
