A career seminar was co-organised by the Department of Accountancy and Career Planning and Development of SAO about the Accounting Profession by Mr Andy Chan, the guest speaker, who is Senior Treasury and Tax Manager of a Multinational Corporation on 15 September 2016.<\/p>\n

\n

The topic of the seminar was about the Accounting Profession. Mr. Andy Chan first gave a brief introduction about his career path. After that, he introduced the career paths in the accounting profession including pursuing along the CPA firms (Big 4, middle-tier and local CPA firms), corporate enterprises, or civil services.\u00a0 There were discussions on the Big4 recruitment process, and the type of applicants that the employers are looking for.\u00a0 Mr. Chan also gave advice on how to better prepare for the aptitude tests and picked some sample questions on verbal reasoning for students\u2019 practice.\u00a0The Career Seminar was successfully held with an attendance of more than 170 students and staff from the Department of Accountancy and Career Planning and Development of SAO.<\/p>\n
