Organised by the Communications and Public Affairs Office, a sharing session on President Simon Ho\u2019s new book\u300a\u9818\u5c0e\u7684\u50f9\u503c\u300b<\/span>(The Value of Leadership<\/i>)was held at the Hong Kong Book Fair 2016 on 23 July 2016. The event has successfully drawn many HSMC students, colleagues and visitors of the Hong Kong Book Fair 2016.<\/p>\n

President Simon S M Ho gave a warm welcome to all the audience and shared his experience of hosting theradio programme themed \u201cPresident\u2019s Dialogues with Distinguished\u00a0Leaders\u201d(\u300c\u6821\u9577\u8207\u9818\u8896\u540c\u300e\u6052\u300f\u300d<\/span>). He said, \u201cI feel deeply honoured to have <\/span>52 outstanding\u00a0leaders\u00a0to share their distinguished\u00a0leadership\u00a0experience, and the challenges and joys encountered in work and life.They give new insights into strategies and direction of nurturing successfulleaders.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To further promoteliberal education and leadership development, President Ho analysed in depth the contents of the radio programmes andwrote the Chinese book\u300a\u9818\u5c0e\u7684\u50f9\u503c\u300b<\/span>(The Value of Leadership). Ten common valuesof true leadership were identified and reported in the book. He stressed at thesharing session, \u201cI would like to express sincere thanks to the 52 leaders,Metro Radio, Sing Tao Publishing and all the colleagues who have made theircontributions. This book project could not be a success without their valuablesupport.” There was also an autograph session after the sharing.<\/p>\n

\n

The book\u300a\u9818\u5c0e\u7684\u50f9\u503c\u300b<\/span>(The Valueof Leadership<\/i>) has been launched in Hong Kong BookFair 2016 and other bookstores. Proceeds from the book sale will be put underthe HSMC Strategic Development Fund.<\/p>\n
