14 April 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics held the third day of \u201cSymposia in Data Science\u201d on 14 April 2016. The theme of the day was \u201cRisk Management\u201d. The Department invited Mr Simon Lam (Munich Reinsurance Company), Ms Nora Li (Cathay Conning Asset Management Limited) and Ms Cathy Lin (Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A.) to be the guest speakers. The participants were eager to learn how data science is used in risk management matters.<\/p>\n

The Symposia in Data Science is fully supported by the ResearchGrant Council of Hong Kong Special Administration Region, China (ProjectReference No: UGC\/IIDS14\/P01\/15).<\/p>\n
