The Department of Mathematics and Statistics held the sixth day of \u201cSymposia in Data Science\u201d on 17 November 2016. The theme of the day was \u201cActuarial Science\u201d. The Department invited Professor Hailiang Yang (Professor of Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science, HKU) and Dr Xian Zhou (Associate Professor of Department of Applied Finance and Actuarial Studies, Macquarie University) to be the guest speakers of the event. The participants were fascinated to learn the current state-of-the-art research in actuarial science.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
