The School of Translation invited Ms Flora Kwok to give our student a talk regarding how to get ready to the workplace. With a diverse cultural background, Ms Kwok has been engaging in human resources management for more than 10 years in local and overseas companies.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To start with, Ms Kwok shared her background with students and introduced an ice-breaking game to initiate a lively start of the talk. She also demonstrated how to determine and develop a career path by showing videos and sharing her views from the angle of an HR manager.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ms Kwok also explained the importance of preparation prior to a job interview, from understanding a company\u2019s corporate culture, mission and vision to demonstrating the competency and attitude of a candidate.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To conclude, Ms Kwok encouraged students to broaden their horizons and be positive to changes and failures, from which we can learn a lesson.<\/p>\n
