The Departmentof Economics and Finance gladly invited Mr Hanson Wong to share his precious work experience in Financial Risk Management with students and staffon 9 April 2015. <\/o:p><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Mr Wong\u2019sstory was greatly inspiring. Studentswere surprised to find that Mr Wong graduated as an English major, but laterworked as a quantitative trader in WallStreet. Mr Wong continued to share his fascinating work experience in the areas of investment management and riskmanagement. At the end, Mr Wong advised that integrity and teamwork at workplacewere of paramount importance to a successful career in the finance field. Finally,he ended the day with a quote of wisdom \u2013 \u201cIfit doesn\u2019t challenge you, it doesn\u2019t change you\u201d. <\/o:p><\/p>\n

Mr Wongearned his BA from Beijing Normal University, China, MPAcc from MonashUniversity, Australia, and MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management,USA. He is a CFA charter holder and an FRM. He is currently the CEO ofBelos Capital (Asia) Ltd, a leading alternative investment company specialisingin non-performing consumer and commercial receivables across Asia, Australiaand New Zealand.<\/i><\/div>\n<\/p>\n
