28 November 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n HSMC attended HKQAA<\/strong><\/p>\n HangSeng Management College (HSMC) actively fulfills corporate socialresponsibilities and has obtained the outstanding score of “5”(highest ranking) in the “CSR Index” held by the Hong Kong QualityAssurance Agency for two consecutive years (2012-2013 and 2013-2014). TheCollege was awarded the \u201cHong Kong Quality Assurance Agency CSR Advocate Mark\u201d,the only higher education institution in Hong Kong with the given mark.<\/p>\n “CSRIndex” aims to promote organisations\u2019 efforts in social responsibility,according to ISO 26000 “Corporate Social Responsibility Guide”, whichis to evaluate the performance of institutions in seven core subjects, includingcorporate governance, labour practices, consumerrights, human rights, fair operating practices, community involvement &development, and environmental protection. HSMC implementsa comprehensive assessment mechanism in management, curriculum and environmentto maintain high quality. On quality of the programmes, HSMC adopts theaccreditation system from the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academicand Vocational Qualifications to establish and enhance the effectiveness ofteaching, so that graduates will be equipped with the skills, knowledge andattitudes needed for the 21st century, in order to meet the requirements ofindustry and the community on talented individuals. On campusenvironment design, facilities and management, HSMC uses the highestrequirements of \u201cgreen buildings\u201d as target, while infiltrating humanisticconcept and environmental protection. Its management and staff practise andimprove various developmental projects in accordance with the establishedlong-term strategy, such as to improve governance structure, optimise qualitycontrol, monitor internal and external practices, and emphasise on employees\u2019needs, promote teaching & research and create social benefits. HSMC alsoactively collaborates with academic and the business community to establishstrategic partnerships.
