President\u2019s Reception for Parents, Teachers and Students<\/strong><\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

In order to build up seamless communicationbetween parents and the College, andto update the latest development and student life at HSMC, HSMC organised the President\u2019s Reception forParents, Teachers and Studentson 4 October 2014.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/p>\n

The Reception began witha warm-up session in which parents could have a relaxed conversation toincrease mutual understanding withCollege academic staff while enjoying the refreshments. All guests then moved intothe conference room and learnt more about the latest development ofHSMC by viewing the CollegeVideo and the President\u2019s introduction.In the students sharingsession, two students who completed the internship programme depicted their gain from being the interns.Another two student exchangeprogramme participants sharedtheir interesting experiences, which enriched parents\u2019 understanding on these programmes. <\/o:p><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/p>\n

Prof Simon Ho mentioned that the University would be the final stage of studyingbefore entering the community. Therefore he suggested parents to give students a free hand and allow them to have more room for development. In addition,parents are importantstakeholders of HSMC and it is hoped that mutual communication can be enhancedin the future.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/p>\n

\n

HSMC is continously developing,and the new student residence hallsare expected to be completed by Fall 2015. Most of the hardware andsoftware are of university standard.The College is planning to apply forthe status of a private university in 2017.<\/o:p><\/p>\n
