2014 BJC Advisory Committee and External Examiners Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n

2014 BJC Advisory Committee and External Examiners Meeting was held on 22nd February 2014. Prof. Scarlet Tso, Dean, School of Communication, welcomed all advisors and external examiners and extended appreciations to their support for the BJC Programme. Mr. Richard Tsang, Founder and Chairman of Strategic Public Relations Group (\u201cSPRG\u201d) received the letter of appointment from Prof. Scarlet Tso, Dean of School of Communication in the meeting.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Starting from the academic year 2013\/14, the committee was composed of six experienced professors and media professionals including Prof. Paul Lee, Dean of Social Science, Chinese University of Hong Kong (\u201cCUHK\u201d); Mr. Ronald Chiu, Executive Director, i-Cable News Limited; Mr. Garmen Chan, Assistant Director (Public Affairs), Wharf Limited; Mr. Chan Cho Biu, Executive Director, Hong Kong Economic Times Holdings Limited; Ms. May Chan, Director (News and Public Affairs) of the Hong Kong Commercial Broadcasting Company Limited and Mr. Richard Tsang, Founder and Chairman of SPRG.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Apart from summarizing the activities organized, students\u2019 performances and graduation employment of 2013 graduates, Prof. Tso shared the development plan of the School with the Advisory Committee and External Examiners. The Advisory Committee and External Examiners provided valuable opinions on training students to be journalism and communication professionals as well as industry trend which were beneficial to the development of the Programme.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Meeting-cum-Spring Luncheon ended with a campus tour by Prof. Tso, who led the Advisory Committee and External Examiners to the Radio Broadcast Training Centre, Multimedia Training Centre, BJC staff offices and classrooms located at the newly built Academic and Administrative Building (Block D) and campus facilities at Sports and Amenities Centre (Block B).<\/p>\n
