Brazilian Delegation’s Visit to HSMC<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A delegation formed of 38 representatives from Brazilian institutions and educational organizations visited Hang Seng Management College (HSMC) on 11 May 2012.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

President Dr Chui Hong Sheung, Provost Prof Gilbert Fong and other senior members of the management of HSMC greeted the delegation warmly. When giving a speech at the meeting, Dr Chui introduced the self-financing institutions in Hong Kong and history and future campus development of HSMC, which greatly interested the delegation members. Prof Raymond So, Dean of School of Business, then delivered a speech on the self-financing business programs of higher education institutions and issues of concern for private colleges in Hong Kong. Prof So’s perceptions also helped the delegation to understand more deeply the cultivation of business specialists in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Mr Rodrigo Capelato, Director of a well-known higher educational organization in Brazil named SEMESP, gave a speech on the situation of higher education in Brazil. He said: “This visit has strengthened the understanding of both sides on each other’s education systems, and it has provided a good opportunity for our future cooporation.” In the following discussion section, some delegation members expressed their wish to launch an exchange program with HSMC.<\/p>\n

At the final part of the visit, HSMC staff led the representatives on a campus tour, which included a visit to the modern TV Studio of the School of Communication. They showed great interest in the TV news production equipment.<\/p>\n
