12 March 2021<\/strong><\/p>

Organised by the Career Planning & Development Section of Student Affairs Office, the HSUHK Hybrid Careers Fair 2021 was successfully held from 8 to 12 March 2021, presenting over 2,000 graduates and internship opportunities to HSUHK students as well as recent graduates in the trough of the employment market.<\/p>

The 1-week event attracted over 120 corporations from across 30 industries, including renowned multinational firms from accounting, finance, banking as well as other professional services. There was an overwhelming response from students with over 3,300 visits to the virtual fairground and a pageview of 65,000 in total. <\/p>

Considering the pandemic and social distancing measures, the event adopted a hybrid mode for the first time to allow students to walk around the fairground, have a live chat with employers, attend recruitment webinars, attend video interviews and drop their CVs for job applications via online platform; while they could also choose to attend the training and meet with the Careers Advisors for a Career Advisory Session online or on campus to enhance their competitiveness amid the pandemic.<\/p>

With the theme \u2018To Transform in the New Normal\u2019, Mr Garrick Lau, Assistant General Manager \u2013 Shared Value of New World Development and Chairman of HSUHK Advisory Committee on Graduate Employment, together with Dr Tom Fong, Vice-President (Organisational Development) and Mr Raymond Leung, Year-2 student of Honours Academy, was invited to share his insights on how to be braced for and transform in the new normal at the Opening Forum. The discussion was participated by 100 audiences including HSUHK students, staff and exhibiting employers. <\/p>

The Fair this year featured job opportunities in fast-growing sectors, such as AI, Data Science, FinTech, ICT, Robotics, Green Technologies, etc. Collaborated with Cyberport Hong Kong and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks, the Tech and Emerging Industries Day on the fourth day of the Fair introduced students to over 1,000 graduate and internship opportunities in tech-related industries.<\/p>
