3 October 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Classroom D302, located in the Lee Quo Wei Academic Building at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK), has been named \u201cMr and Mrs Li Pui Leung Classroom\u201d in recognition of the generous donation from Mr and Mrs Li.<\/p>\n

Held on 3 October 2019, the Naming Ceremony was officiated by Mr and Mrs Li, together with Dr Patrick Poon, Chairman of HSUHK\u2013Foundation Management Committee and Chairman of Fundraising and Donation Committee; and Professor Simon S. M. Ho, President of HSUHK.<\/p>\n

In his welcome remarks, President Ho conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to Mr and Mrs Li for their kind contribution to the University\u2019s long-term development. President Ho emphasised that HSUHK was a private university that combined social capital and community wisdom, and its development had relied on community support in the form of resource provision and donations. He said the University would uphold its founding motto \u201cErudition and Perseverance\u201d and diligently implement the initiatives set out in the University\u2019s 5-Year Strategic Plan to nurture more responsible future professionals and leaders for society.<\/p>\n

Mr Li Pui Leung commended HSUHK students during his speech for their practical knowledge and can-do attitude. The University attached great importance to whole-person education and provided the students with ample internship and exchange opportunities, which enabled them to gain industry experience and chart their future career paths. Mr Li encouraged the students to stay positive and proactive and strive to achieve their goals, and he looked forward to joining hands with HSUHK and its students to develop and excel together.<\/p>\n

With a floor space of approximately 100 sq. metres, the fully-equipped Mr and Mrs Li Pui Leung Classroom is ideal for lectures, seminars, talks, and exhibitions. Enjoying beautiful scenery through windows of the Classroom, both lecturers and students can immerse themselves in this scenic green environment conducive to inspiring teaching and learning.<\/p>\n
