About Professor Hu Angang<\/strong><\/span>
\nProfessor Hu Angang is one of the pioneers and leading authorities in the realm of Contemporary China Studies. He now serves as the Dean of the Institute of Contemporary China Studies of Tsinghua University and Professor of School of Public Policy and Management of Tsinghua University. He is also a member of the Advisory Committee for the Thirteenth and Twelfth Five-Year Plans under NDRC, a member of the Advisory Committee of the National Disaster Mitigation Committee and a member of the Advisory Committee under Ministry of Agriculture. He was elected as the representative of the 18th CCP National Congress in 2012.<\/p>\n

About Centre for Greater China Studies<\/strong><\/span>
\nCentre for Greater China Studies (CGCS) was found in January 2018. Fully supported by the Institutional Development Scheme of Research Grants Council, the CGCS aims to enhance interdisciplinary research that highlights the rise of China and its impact on the rest of the world. The CGCS has two major objectives. First, it serves as a research platform to formulate and promote Greater China studies at HSMC. Its second objective is to facilitate academic exchange and cooperation between local and international scholars. The CGCS will focus on four key areas: 1) To facilitate research on the Belt and Road Initiative and the Big Bay Area Development; 2) To encourage research on interactions between China and the rest of the world; 3) To promote digital research methods and apply related knowledge to the field of Greater China studies; and 4) To set up a \u201cGreater China Research Network\u201d website.<\/p>\n
